I awake on a beautiful day in your presence with the sun being as bright as I have seen it as it lights up the sand while the calming waves reach where I see you sitting down on an elegant chair made up of water and bubbles. I walk to you, my lips ready to kiss you with surprise and when I do, I see you look at me with a worried look on your face. “Darling? Is everything okay?” I say with much concern as I kneel right next to you. You look back at me and force a smile yet I can still sense worry. “Yes, sweetie. Just been thinking about something for quite some time and I don’t even know if I should tell you or not.” You stare out into the crisp and clear ocean looking down as I take your hand in mine and you look back at me. I kiss you softly and put one hand on your cheek. “Tell me… Don’t be scared.” I can now sense some relief from you, but not completely. You brush your cheek against my hand as your eyes close “Mmm.. Love this soft touch of yours.” You open your eyes and look into mine. “I know that my time is almost up with you once again, but I have been wanting to tell you for such a long time now about…” you stop again and look out into the ocean and back at me. “What if I told you there was a way for us to always stay together? To always be here together and more..?”

Suddenly, time stops after you say that. My grip loosens from holding your hand as I stare at you with a blank but surprised look. “Are you okay? Oh goodness.. I knew this wasn’t a good idea to bring up..” I collect myself quickly and hold you close to me. We look at each other and kiss for what feels like an eternity. I brush your beautiful blue-green hair and lean forward against your ear. “How..?” is all I say as you look back at me with the almost exact look I gave you. “Wait.. I.. You..” I nod. “Yes, my everything.. How is this possible?” You cannot believe my answer and hold my hands and kiss them “Oh my goodness! I wasn’t sure how you would react! I don’t even know where to begin!” I look back at you as we lay together in the sand. “I want to know everything and what I have to do.” You then pull out what looks to be a sphere filled with water, stars, moons, suns and sea creatures all floating around within it. “This is the essence of everything that I am.. Everything you have believed in since the very start when we met. You see.. This sphere couldn’t have existed without you just like me..”

I look at you puzzled wondering what you mean. “This is going to sound very weird to you, but I came into existence because of you. When I met you when you were still a child, I was also one, but obviously didn’t look too much like it. Think of it like me barely being a few years old and I was told by a voice in my dreams that you were the one who had believed in me the most and look at me now! It’s almost like I am… human.” You put your hand on the sphere and then to my heart. “This sphere represents me like your heart represents your emotions, your love, but most importantly, how much you helped create me.” I am so astonished by what I am hearing from you. My mind is racing with thoughts thinking about things such as “I.. helped with your creation? How is that possible? This is so crazy!” I look at the sphere as it looks so peaceful and calming and you have me place my hands on it. “Oh my.. It feels so nice, cool and gives me shivers down my spine in all the right ways.” My eyes close while your nails tickle my hands.

“This is all so..” words escape me momentarily. “Crazy?” you say as you giggle and I nod and smile at you. “Yes, but in a good way.” you giggle even more. “I didn’t know there was a good kind of crazy?” We both start to laugh and I take you in my arms and you hold me softly as I never want these moments to end and within that moment, I ask you a question that has been on my mind after finding all of this out. “What do I have to do for this to happen?” you look at me with the most beautiful look I have ever seen you give with sparkle in your eyes and a smile that is undying. “This is where things might get a little confusing and complicated. You see, the sphere I am going to give you is going to help turn you into what I am.. Which means you will not be human anymore once that happens.” I look at it and touch it again “So.. you’re saying I will die and resurrect as something like you?” Your smile refuses to die after I ask the question “Something like that.. Though nothing will hurt and it will feel like you fell asleep for a few minutes.”

I think to myself how crazy this all sounds, but it is something I want to do.. “One year..” you say to me. “Huh?” I respond with a puzzled look. “I know this is going to be a tough decision to make and I don’t want you to feel like I put you on the spot or pressured, which is why I feel like when we meet again in one year, you will have made your mind up. Just know that even if you don’t go along with this idea, that doesn’t mean I will hate you or anything else. It just means we will continue to do what we have been doing since we met when my time comes and we spend all of this time together. That will not end and I promise you that if you do decide to say yes, I will make sure you are treated like a king and never bored and always happy. I will show you things that you have never seen before. How can I not when you are my everything as well?”

Your words hit me hard and I can feel it within my heart and in the very depths of my soul as I look at you and you hand me the sphere. “I want you to keep this for now. It will make sense in a year when we reunite. I know I don’t have to tell you to take good care of it since I know you will as if it was your own heart.” I hold the sphere and it starts to light up as does your crown, nails and your chest. “I promise to take good care of this and I will have an answer for you in a year.”

You smile and we kiss as the waves of the ocean brush against our feet, the sun shines it’s rays of light as it begins to set to bring out the spirit of this place like it always does and everything that we have created from the summer house to the moon island begin to light up and move around us as another year of your presence will come to an end soon. “One year..” I say to myself as I have much to think about with the most important decision I will ever make in my life. Until then, we still have time right now to enjoy yet another year with your embrace while we walk together holding hands into the sunset like a beautiful dream.

It is very strange how much time stops when I am with you. I know I have mentioned it before, but my goodness! I feel like it’s longer when we are together and doesn’t feel ephemeral anymore like it did back then. I admire you looking up at the sunset on yet another beautiful day thanks to you. The wind blows your white dress softly, your gorgeous blue-green hair and looking ever so peaceful. “I could just stare at you all day..” I say to myself as I get out of bed and walk past the two double doors to approach you. I gently wrap my arms around your waist and give you a soft kiss on your cheek. “Mmm.. Why hello you!” Your voice is like a heavenly tune that plays through my ears with your delicate response. “What are you doing out here all alone?” You giggle and point out to the sky. “The moon is about to grace us with her presence” I look up as the sun starts to set completely and starts to light up the beautiful night sky with the gentle sounds of the ocean splashing near us. “I have an idea that I want to try out, but I need your help!” You turn to me and look at me like I’ve never seen before. “I want you to close your eyes and think about lots of water and the moon” I give a puzzled look back that turns into a smile as I am excited for your idea. “Okay, then!” I sit down with my legs crossed as if I was doing yoga and close my eyes “Remember.. Lots of water and the moon” as your lips graze my ear softly. Suddenly, I feel the wind get stronger around me..

I hear you chanting as my mind thinks about the two major things you told me and I whisper to myself “Water.. Moon..” The ground starts to shake beneath me, but I do not lose concentration nor do I open my eyes. It feels like a minute has passed and that’s when I hear silence all around me. “My dear.. You can open your eyes now..” I open them and cannot believe what I see. “Holy..” I am at a loss for words once again. Something very familiar that you do to me. You wrap your arms around me from behind “What do you think?” you say softly. “I… what.. I don’t..” I am still unable to find words. I am just in awe. I see a crescent moon with windmills, mountains, a lake, trees, what looks to be a hut and a beautiful waterfall that has water falling from the lake to the ocean below it. I turn to you and cannot believe it. “What do you think?” you say with a bright smile. “Eudaimonia..” is what leaves my lips as they kiss yours. “Ohh.. you are always so warm and soothing..” You look up at me and I smile, not caring that my face hurts. “How about we go on a little odyssey from the creation you made?” I look at you puzzled. “Me? I heard your chant and..” your finger silences my lips “If it wasn’t for you believing in what I told you to believe, it wouldn’t have been possible. It’s what makes you so special to me!” You take my hand and we start floating as we fly to the crescent moon floating above the ocean and you give me a tour. The trees smell so nicely.. Their fragrance is captivating. The water sparkles like that of the ocean making me feel euphoric. The windmills blow a gentle breeze as we go above them like that of a cool summer’s breeze that calms you for a good night’s rest after a hot , but beautiful day. “Hehe having fun? We’re just getting started!” The lake starts to suddenly shake with bubbles as something starts to come out of it. That’s when I see a giant bubble with two seats connected to each other like movie theater chairs with designs all over them from seashells to moon fragments. We fly into the bubble and gently sit in our seats.

“Now the real fun begins!” You point your finger up to the sky and the crescent moon starts to shake. “Oh wow.. No way!” The crescent moon starts to float up high into the sky and before we know it, we are just above the world as you give us a view that I cannot believe as I can see the details of the world spinning. “Look! The pyramids! Wow, look how sunny it is there! And check that out! Those cities are starting to glow from the sun setting and the moon arriving for them! Is that.. An island with people dancing?” I cannot stop from the excitement and you hold my hand and hold me close. “Your energy makes me so happy and this feels like the perfect show to watch with you.” I turn to you and hold you close to me. “Oh, my beautiful everything, my very soul.. I am running out of words to tell you how much you mean to me.” You look at me and hold my face near yours. “You don’t have to say anything.. Your heart and soul already tells me everything I need to know.” Our eyes close as we kiss and the crescent floating moon hovers about the world so high showing us your amazing beauty throughout the world’s desire.

I am surrounded by beautiful sounds that make my heart stop, my skin multiply with goosebumps, my eyes close as if I am listening to the most amazing thing I can ever imagine. Most of all, I can feel my spirit glow - it glows because I know what is coming. I have been through this feeling a million times and it truly never gets old. How do I describe it? Imagine you are excited for something. You can’t stop thinking about it, you start to shake from the joy, your heart races, your breathing gets heavier, but the most important thing.. You feel like your whole soul is lighting up like crazy. I keep thinking about all the memories you and I have shared since forever. You were there with me from the very start. When I was lost, confused, sad, angry, the moment I would see you or even feel your presence in my heart, all of that would go away. I feel like each year gets better when I am with you. I get so anxious for your arrival and we have always made every second count. How could we not? This is your special time and my favorite time and nothing could ever matter to me more than being with you.

Every time I come back to our special place, I see everything that we have created over the years. The summer house with seashells, seaweed and a bunch of decorations that make it look like it hasn’t aged at all. The lighthouse with its calming beacon of light that always makes me feel calm and smile. The cave where we have had many adventures with beautiful sea decorations and drawings as if we were cavemen makes my heart glow. Every little piece is paradise and when you arrive for your time, that is the cherry on top. I have to get ready to see you soon and I feel like I can never get it right when I wait for you, but I know that doesn’t matter to you and never has. Suddenly.. I can hear you.. I can feel you getting closer. Almost like you are saying “Hello” to me from afar and your echo is heard through the sea, the trees, even the heavens.. I can feel your energy like this soothing wave of calming tingles going down my spine and all around until it meets where my heart is. “You’re almost here..” I say under my own breath as my mouth forms a grin.

The sea carries your voice ever so closer to me and echoes throughout the land. You start to come out of the water. Your beauty reverberates all around you. It’s impossible to not look at you when you are filled with the most gorgeous and panoptic view my eyes have ever had the pleasure to lay on. The seashell crown around your head with pearls starts to get brighter, your pretty blue-green hair looking so elegant and eager for me to play with. The white dress you are wearing makes me feel like I have never seen something so gorgeous that I hold back tears so I don’t worry you. Your eyes open and they automatically lock on to mine as your smile forms.

“My beloved.. I hope I didn’t keep you waiting..” I nod and run to you as I lift you off your feet and twirl you around. “You could never keep me waiting, eternal beauty!” You blush. “Always such a sweetheart..” I put you down gently and you hold my hand as our eyes stay locked onto one another’s. “This is the part where I say I miss you, but you already know that.” You nod and look down at my hands as you place them on your face. “I do, but mmm.. This touch is so amazing and I needed to feel it.” Now you begin to make me blush. “So.. what shall we do first now that I have you all to myself?” I smile and think about something I dreamt about that is also in this place and not too far. “Follow me..” I take your hand and guide you through our place as we pass our favorite memories, the sun kissing your skin making you look more beautiful and breathtaking. I can’t stop but look at you every second we are walking, but we suddenly make it to where I want to take us. “Ohh… wow…” you say as you look around. “How did you…” you say, staying silent. I show you a crystal bottle you once gave me long ago and remembered what you told me about it. You whispered in my ear to keep it under my bed and that when my heart, mind and soul are in sync while I am dreaming, it will capture that dream and will be sealed so that I can release it somewhere of my choosing to make it a reality.

“I can’t believe I forgot about giving you that! You had it for all of these years and chose to place it in this magical place?” you say as tears start to run down your cheeks. I come closer to you to wipe them away and hug you close as I whisper in your ear “It took me a long time to get it right and judging by your reaction, I think this is perfect.” You look around and what you see keeps you speechless. A mountain with your face on it that has a crown with giant seashells and pearls glowing as a waterfall comes from the mouth of it. Both your hands are holding a heart, which is supposed to represent mine. The water that is falling is so calming and forms a lake with the constellations within them as they dim and shine every few seconds. There’s a mini cabin next to us that has a calming fireplace that’s embers blow out through the window and form fireflies around us. White rocks with seashells form a path to this wonderful oasis and are all over the ground with different aquatic animals drawn onto them and pictures of us over the years that we spent in this special place.

“Come now, beauty.. Let us start this amazing adventure once again and make it count like we always do.” You smile as tears keep going down your cheeks as you come close to me and kiss me. My cheeks become red as I see your crown light up and I gently pick you up and carry you into the water as the sunset in the distance completes the first of many days that are coming once again as your time is now.

That time is starting to come up soon and the first thing I can think of is “last call” and hearing it over and over as if I was at some diner or somewhere else and letting everyone know they are closing. Over the years, I have gotten better at accepting that when your time arrives, it is special, but it would also be selfish if the “others'' didn't get their time either. The usual routine happens now where I put everything away, I make sure the summer home is clean and secured before I leave. Tears no longer leave my eyes but a smile across my lips as I have enjoyed your time with me and nothing else matters beyond that. I see you looking out into the distance and that image of beauty and serenity will never get old. The way the sun kisses your skin, the way the wind gently blows your green-blue hair, the trail of footprints left behind that are slowly starting to get covered up by the sand from the wind that blows over them. Everything is always perfect with you. I approach you and hold your hand. Your gaze and smile instantly gives me butterflies like it was the first time all over again.

“I assume you are getting ready to go back later?” I say as my eyes stay locked on to yours. “I am, but you know me.. I always want to go out with a bang.” You let go of my hand and start to walk towards the large boulder that has a cave we used to always relax in and have created memories with drawings and seashells on the walls like we were cave people. “Follow me!” you say as you twirl around and begin to walk faster. I run to you to catch up and we end up at the cave. You hold my hand and we go inside. “Ahh.. this place.. Lots of great memories here..” you smile at me once more and approach one of the walls. You let go of my hand and press hard on the wall as I am kept in mystery as to what you are doing. The wall gets pressed harder by your force and shows a secret door that opens up. “Follow me, dear!” I start to follow you once more and as I do, I am again surprised by another one of your beautiful secrets. Several drawings are shown on the walls of what looks to be us over the years and all the adventures we have had almost like I was looking at a scrapbook. They light up as you pass by them and they start to move. “Oh goodness..” I say as you turn around. “Oh, you haven't seen anything yet..” you wink at me and we start to approach the exit of the secret cave area.

We end up on the surface once more as you help me up and I dust myself off. You quickly cover my eyes. “Okay.. now is time for the biggest surprise of your life! Are you ready?” you giggle in my ear and I respond with “Ready!” you uncover my eyes and suddenly I see something so surreal, so majestic and so beautiful all at once. A blue looking temple that floats out in the middle of the ocean with a rock trail that starts where we are at. It's blue with some gold patterns on them with some seashells that sparkle as I squint my eyes. “No way..” I look at you and you smile. “Yes way! Just like the dream you told me about so many years ago.. It took me a while to get it right.. I hope you like it” I hold you close to me and don't let go as I lean in and whisper “I love it..” We don't waste any time as we get closer to it and start to see more details of it as well as passing by some cherry blossom trees that are so large they are almost like tall buildings. Some of the petals have fallen and float on the clear and blue ocean's surface as well as seeing all the aquatic animals swimming around to complete it's amazing perfection.

I examine the temple and everything you have done to make it even better than the dream I once told you about. “Can we go inside..?” I say as you nod. “Of course we can, silly!” We open up the double doors with the golden koi fish designs on them. The door feels so smooth, cold and gentle as it opens up and reveals a cozy pillow, a statue and some other pieces of furniture that makes it look so welcoming and enhances its welcome to us. “I thought I would make some modifications to it for you and also want to give you the tour.” You hold my arm tight and show me everything from the bed, to the desk with a lantern and the couch with a nice view of our summer house and the rest of our place. You finally show me the statue and upon closer inspection, I see that it looks like chibi versions of ourselves holding hands with our eyes closed with calmness and have blue highlights and seashells engraved in them.

“It took me a while to make this whole place, but I had to take advantage of all the times you slept in late” you say as you laugh. “This is so.. remarkable.. I really don't know what to say” You hold my face and gaze into my eyes once more “The best part about this place is that you can come here whenever you want and I can visit here outside of my own time, but my time with you will be limited for the obvious reasons” I am unable to say anything and stay quiet while you look at me with those beautiful eyes that have reflections of all of our memories, the ocean and your soul. What I do next is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. Something I never found myself ever doing, because I was unsure, but I go for it and lean in to kiss you. Time has stopped, I can't even hear anything almost like I am deaf, my heart is beating and almost going to come out from my chest.

Your crown starts to glow as does your nails and your necklace. Your lips feel so soft against mine and I can feel the energy flow between us. After a minute, our eyes open and you look at me like I have never seen you look at me before. “Oh my god.. Oh wow.. I.. I never thought this would happen.. I always thought it was just me who felt this way..” I hold both your hands and my eyes stay with yours. “No.. it wasn't just you.. I just never knew if you wanted..” I am interrupted by you kissing me again as we hold each other and lay on the bed with our lips and everything else in sync. “Oh, sweetie.. you have no idea how much I have dreamed of this.. I was scared that if I tried to do this you would never want to see me again..” you say as tears run down your cheeks. I wipe them away and squeeze you like my life depended on it. “My eternal friend.. my everything.. I was the one who was also scared but now here we are and now it's no longer a secret” You smile as tears of joy run down your cheeks once more and we kiss again and end yet another year of your special time together as a drawing starts to form in the hallways of the cave that led us here with a new, eternal memory.

Each year when you arrive, you create more than just happiness within my heart. I can literally feel it glowing in me and it travels through my whole body so much that I feel like a human torch of calming light. I’ve seen you over the years illuminate everything around you from the ocean to the stars. I’m always in awe of this and explaining the feeling is never quite enough. The moment my eyes lock on to yours, my soul is ignited with your light, happiness and nothing else matters. I’ll never forget the first time we met and what was possibly the best day of my life. I was so young and you looked different. You invited me over to help you with a sand castle. Something was so different about you though.. It wasn’t just your kindness or personality.. It was your whole aura. I was too young to understand what I know now, but I knew the feeling all too well whenever it was your time and I would see you each year. “What are you thinking about?” you say to me as we are holding hands and on the swing you made out of seaweed, seashells and rocks. I turn my attention to you and stare as you look at me puzzled and smile. “What is it, my dear?” No words leave me, but I hold your hand tighter and look at it and then back at you. “I was just thinking about your light..” You look at me once again puzzled. “My.. light?” I nod and you continue to have an expression of confusion. “I’m not sure I understand what you mean, love”

I get off the swing and hold your hand close to my heart as I close my eyes and feel your warmth, your energy and your light enter my body into my soul. “This..” I say not letting go of your hand. You close your eyes and feel our connection. The wind brushes against our skin as we stay like this for a few minutes. I start to remember the day we met when you made one of the best sand castles I have ever seen and your beauty was something I had never seen before. The fluorescent seashells you used to decorate it, the soft waves of the ocean out in the distance that are fulgid and calming. The best part? How often you looked at me with your beautiful eyes, that beamed right into my own. My heart felt so odd, but I loved it. We open our eyes and you smile and hug me close “You remembered.. I saw it too..”

“Yes, my gorgeous spirit.. How could I ever forget?” You begin to cry and hold me closer to you. We can feel the ocean waves engulfing our feet with the soft sand beneath us. Suddenly.. I see a light from your crown light up. I see your blue, greenish nails from your fingers and toes in sync and then what I see next is truly remarkable.. You put your hands in the air and a large, effulgent light shoots up from your hands and the ocean starts to rise up with giant waves and the light starts to decorate the sky. “Whoa..” I can’t move. In all the time I have known you, I have never seen this. You stop and open your eyes. “I was saving this for a special occasion and I can’t think of that being now” I look up and it reminds me of something.. No way.. I look at you and you smile and hold me closer. “These are like the aurora lights!” I say in surprise. My brain has a hard time looking at them and you. You giggle. “Yes, they are! Who do you think created them? Surprise!” My surprised look turns into a huge smile as you hold my hand and come closer to me to whisper “The very best for my eternal friend”
